Histrion Foundation Scholarship Announcement — Academic Year 2026/2027

Application Deadline: September 1, 2026 by 12:00 PM (noon)

The Histrion Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of applications for its scholarship program for the academic year 2026/2027, available to full-time students enrolled at accredited universities and colleges in the Republic of Croatia.

Eligibility Requirements

Scholarships are awarded to full-time students of lower socio-economic status who are enrolling in their first year of an undergraduate university program. Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Croatian citizenship

  • A minimum grade point average of 4.0 (on a 5.0 scale) throughout secondary school

  • Household income not exceeding €600 per family member per month

  • Not currently receiving another scholarship of a similar nature

How to Apply

Eligible students should send their application to stipendije@zakladahistrion.org with the subject line "Scholarship Application '26/'27", including the following documents:

  • Copies of grade transcripts for all years of secondary school

  • Proof of university enrollment

  • Proof of household income per family member for the year 2025

  • A short motivational essay (up to 2 pages) describing their motivation to pursue higher education and the reasons they consider themselves an ideal candidate for the scholarship

Selection Process

The Histrion Foundation Scholarship Committee will review all applications and notify the selected recipient by September 15, 2026. The scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement, demonstrated financial need, and the quality of the motivational essay.

The scholarship is valued at €450 per month and is granted for a period of three years, provided the recipient meets the conditions set forth in the Scholarship Agreement — including regular completion of exams and maintenance of the required grade point average. If the Committee determines that no applicant meets the required criteria, the scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year will not be awarded.
